Have you ever thought about getting professional help IRL? Calling it a coping mechanism doesn't make it healthy btw. If you're relying on disturbing content to cope, maybe that's a sign you should find support offline and work on healthier strategies instead of expecting everyone around you to accept it. Like if you genuinely feel like you need this content to "cope" or wtvr it is you do, then that sounds like something worth addressing with a professional nstead of using "it's a coping mechanism" as a reason nobody is allowed to criticize it. If you're using dark/proship content because you're dealing with something painful, wouldn't addressing what you're actually struggling with be more useful long term than keeping on reinforcing the coping mechanism? There's a difference between depicting something horrible in a story and then romanticizing/sexualizing it. Saying "oh it's fiction" doesn't erase that. I don't think you have to believe fictional content directly causes abuse irl to think that constantly romanticizing abusive dynamics is something worth questioning. Having trauma doesn't make someone bad, and I am not judging you for struggling struggling btw. Just saying everybody has their shit to deal with, but there are lots of people who find healthier ways.

i do not have anyone safe to talk to irl and i dont want to talk about my traumas and i even less trust people enough to talk about them. This can be healthy for some people just like it can't for other. Im not gonna lie this isn't healthy for me but its helping and it's the only way i found that actually help even if it makes my mental health worse. So i wont lie that its not healthy for ME but i like it and it helps.
No i do not expect everyone around me to accept it., i dont know why you think that since i stated many time i do NOT care what people think about me because of darkship. You're talking like i force people to accept me and to like my coping mechanism .
I want to note that it isnt unhealthy for everyone. And dark media is one of the safest and most contained way to work through traumas, it's still better than to seek these things irl and get hurt.
